Policy: Other Production Timelines and Requirements

All projects listed should be initiated by filling out the Web Request Form.

  • Content Management Training – University-appointed content editors may schedule Drupal training on Wednesdays and Fridays each week. One working day advance notice is required. All editors of the Loyola website must be trained on basic procedures and standards for the university site by a member of the web communications staff before access is granted.
  • Troubleshooting – Troubleshooting on websites requires a minimum of six business days, but may vary widely depending on the complexity of the issue. The Office of Web Communications reserves the right to adjust the project’s deadline if necessary.
  • Custom graphics require a minimum three weeks of development time. The desired size, concepts, copy, and photography (or suggested imagery) should be submitted along with the web request.
  • Simple Forms – Simple forms are those that result in an email submission to the form’s owner when a user completes the form. They require a minimum of three weeks to develop from time of web request. The following should be submitted with the request:
    • Introductory text, if needed; Fields needed (This includes submitter's contact info, form questions, etc.)
    • Fields required to successfully submit the form, application, or survey
    • Specify e-mail address(es) for those needing to be notified of successful submissions with a copy of the filled out form.
    • Automated “Thank you” text and/or confirmation email after form is filled out, if needed.
  • Interactive Forms – Interactive forms require information to be stored in a database and controlled via a secure administrator section. They require a minimum of six to eight weeks to develop from time of web request, and require a meeting with our programmers to determine the full scope of the project. WC reserves the right to adjust a project’s deadline once its scope has been assessed.
