Dear Loyola,
This week the Jewish members of our community celebrated Rosh Hashanah and the start of the High Holy Days – a time for all of us to look inward, to be honest with ourselves about the ways we can do better. I have been praying hard about what we can learn from the brutal experience of this year (because finding meaning in suffering is both very Jewish and very Catholic).

The pandemic has put in stark relief the role undocumented immigrants play as essential workers in our nation's economy. Will the Biden Administration finally pass legislation to address our nation's immigration crisis?
In this panel discussion, New Orleans area immigrant advocates will discuss the need for immigration reform that includes an earned path to citizenship for the over 10.4 million undocumented immigrants living in the U.S. today and what else is at stake in this debate. Join us!
Looking for a way to build meaningful connections while exploring your spirituality? Join a CLC! Check us out at our Meet & Greet on Wednesday 9/15 at 7 pm in the Audubon Room. CLCs are small groups of 6-8 people that meet weekly to explore life and faith. Based in Ignatian Spirituality, CLCs are open to people from all faith and non-faith backgrounds.
